Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor (Veterinary Anatomical Pathology/Veterinary Clinical Pathology) in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences *[Ref. The mission of the Department has three distinct but interrelated components: to train highly-professional, practicing veterinary clinicians through didactic teaching, laboratories, and practical experiences based in state-of-the-art veterinary clinical facilities; to advance animal health through cutting-edge clinical research; and to contribute to the community through excellent service and outreach. *The position will be appointed on clinical track or tenure track.* Duties The appointee will actively contribute to the missions of the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences to train highly professional veterinary clinicians, to advance animal health through cutting-edge clinical research and to engage with and support the local community. She/he will teach across the BVM curriculum to ensure that students can attain Day 1 competences by integrating and applying knowledge, skills and professional attitudes. The appointee will provide didactic and laboratory teaching and provide service to CityU Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, and will also support students on clinical rotations which will begin in 2022. The appointee will conduct research, take up administrative work and other duties to facilitate the development of the College and its Departments as a whole. Involvement in research is supported and encouraged for clinical track. Requirements The appointee must have a veterinary qualification recognized for registration as a veterinary surgeon in Hong Kong with degrees in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc), or equivalent in all levels of appointments. Board certification (European, Australian/New Zealand, American, or equivalent Boards) in the relevant discipline is required for appointment at *Clinical Associate Professor* level or above. For *Clinical Assistant Professor*, credentials for Board certification should be completed, or near completion. Experience in clinical teaching, service and research is required. A PhD is preferred for clinical track and essential for tenure track. Salary and Conditions of Service Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance. *Assistant Veterinary Pathologist: Aquatic, Zoo and Wildlife Species* *International Zoo Veterinary Group Pathology* *Keighley, United Kingdom* The International Zoo Veterinary Group (IZVG) was founded in 1976 and is the largest freelance zoo medicine practice in the world, working exclusively with non-domestic species. IZVG Pathology was established in 2003 and provides dedicated anatomic pathology services for the practice’s zoo, aquarium and wildlife conservation work. IZVG Pathology works from our own fully equipped post-mortem facility and histology laboratory situated within IZVG’s main building in Keighley, West Yorkshire. Keighley is on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and within easy travelling distance of the Lake District, and close to the larger cities of Leeds and Bradford in the United Kingdom. *The role: *Working alongside our existing principal veterinary pathologist, who will be your direct line manager, with two histology technicians, and supported by zoological medicine clinical specialists, you will take immediate responsibility for a caseload that comprises significant numbers of marine aquarium fish, non-domestic mammalian (particularly primate), avian, and lower vertebrate species, as well as invertebrates. Diagnostic histopathology will be a major part of your daily work, for IZVG’s own clients and for external clients including veterinary surgeons and referral laboratories. Necropsy examinations are also a frequent and irreplaceable feature of our work, occasionally necessitating travel off-site. A network of external collaborators enables us to source additional diagnostic testing as necessary. Opportunities exist for input into conservation projects in association with field biologists and vets, and to publish and present your work nationally and internationally. *The person:* MRCVS (or immediate eligibility) and a postgraduate qualification in Veterinary Pathology are essential (FRCPath, DipACVP, DipECVP or equivalent), as are robust diagnostic and communication skills. We are particularly seeking experience and enthusiasm for fish pathology, and experience with other non-domestic animal pathology would also be an advantage. Whatever your prior experience you will be expected to demonstrate a genuine interest and enthusiasm for aquatic species pathology and a willingness to develop relevant expertise rapidly. You will have a commitment to providing the best quality diagnostic service to our clients. Experience of research methods and a track record of publication would also be desirable. *Remuneration:* The post carries a competitive salary along with additional benefits including medical insurance. The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine seeks a veterinary anatomic pathologist to join the faculty of the Department of Molecular and Comparative Pathobiology. He or she will join 4 ACVP-boarded anatomic pathology faculty and 6 post-doctoral pathology trainees to provide diagnostic and experimental pathology support for a wide variety of animal model-based research programs. The successful applicant will direct the comparative pathology service in support of JHU Research Animal Resources (RAR) and researchers at Johns Hopkins University campuses in Baltimore. The diagnostic pathology service provides necropsy and biopsy support to RAR for a wide variety of laboratory animal species, including rodents, nonhuman primates (SPF rhesus and pigtailed macaques, marmosets, and baboons), mini pigs, rabbits, dogs, ferrets, zebrafish, and amphibians. In this position, the faculty member will work closely with clinical laboratory animal veterinarians to coordinate communication and oversee diagnostic submissions. The successful applicant will also help direct our robust, longstanding anatomic and comparative pathology training program. The faculty member will provide experimental pathology support to JHU investigators. employing a wide range of translational animal models, including cutting edge vascularized composite allograft transplantation, novel interventional imaging, nanoparticle-mediated therapeutics, biomechanical implants, and infectious disease studies including those based in ABSL-3 facilities. He or she will closely collaborate with JHU investigators to contribute pathology expertise to multidisciplinary studies, applying innovative integrated molecular, digital, and computational pathology approaches. Independent research is also encouraged. Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills as well as teaching experience. Requirements include a license to practice veterinary medicine in the US. Applicants should have experience in laboratory animal diagnostic pathology, the ability to build and maintain positive collaborative relationships with investigators, and leadership experience. Preference will be given to candidates who hold ACVP or ECVP board certification in veterinary anatomic pathology and have completed PhD training.
