The Washington State University (WSU) Department of Veterinary Microbiology and Pathology (VMP) and the Washington Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (WADDL) in the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) is inviting applicants to fulfill a faculty position opening in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology. This is a full-time career track (clinical track) position, and the successful applicant will join a dedicated team focused on clinical service, clinical teaching, and scholarship. *QUALIFICATIONS:* A doctorate in veterinary medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree and satisfactory completion of a post-DVM anatomic pathology residency training program are required. Diplomate status or board eligibility with the intention to complete the board examination in the American College of Veterinary Pathologists is expected. *Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Anatomic Pathology* *University of Wisconsin-Madison* The Department of Pathobiological Sciences, University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Veterinary Medicine, is seeking candidates for a *clinical**-, **teaching**-, or **tenure-track *anatomic pathology faculty position. Across all positions, there is a 60% expected effort for clinical diagnostic biopsy and necropsy service/clinical teaching, with variable percentage distributions for teaching pre-clinical veterinary students (e.g. 2nd-year pathology courses), collaborative research, and academic service responsibilities. The clinical- and teaching-track positions are open for applicants at all levels (assistant, associate, and full professors), but due to the significant clinical service component (60% effort), the tenure track-position accepts applicants for the associate and full professor levels only. The minimum requirements for the selected candidate include a DVM or equivalent, ACVP or ECVP board certification, and licensure or eligibility for licensure in Wisconsin. Two years of post-residency experience in diagnostic anatomic pathology, research experience and/or a PhD, as well as a demonstrated strong interest and experience in training pathology residents are preferred but not required. *Veterinary Anatomic Pathologist – Assistant/Associate – Tenure Track* *Position Summary* The Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Pathology, College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Colorado State University, is seeking an anatomic veterinary pathologist for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The position involves a 50% commitment to service activities of the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratories and a 50% commitment to teaching, research and academic service activities. The effort distribution between research and teaching is negotiable. The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratories is an AAVLD-accredited, full service laboratory. Service responsibilities are shared amongst eleven faculty anatomic pathologists from the Department and additional service-only pathologists. The VDL receive animals and surgical specimens from veterinary practitioners, animal owners, the Colorado Division of Wildlife, and the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. It also functions as a training site for veterinary students and pathology residents. Teaching commitments include practicum teaching during the necropsy laboratory rotations for veterinary students and pathology residents and hospital surgical rotations for pathology residents and graduate students. Didactic classroom teaching in the undergraduate, graduate and/or professional veterinary medicine curricula of the department also is part of the commitment. Involvement in a collaborative research program is an expectation. Preference will be given to persons with interests and expertise to collaborate with the college’s established Programs of Research and Scholarly Excellence (PRSE). These are the Infectious Disease Research and Response Network, Cancer Biology & Comparative Oncology, the Animal Reproduction & Biotechnology Laboratory, the Musculoskeletal Research Program, and the Molecular, Cellular, & Integrative Neurosciences Program. *Required Job Qualifications* Qualifications for this position include a DVM degree or equivalent and advanced training in anatomic pathology. American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) or European College of Veterinary Pathologists (ECVP) board certification is required. The successful candidate on the tenure-track position will seek to develop significant research activities, while the clinical track candidates will be expected to participate in significant collaborative research activities with other PBS faculty. Both tenure-track and clinical track candidates are expected to teach in the veterinary professional and PBS graduate curriculum, with emphasis in pathology (e.g., general pathology and systemic anatomic pathology) and will participate in the Louisiana Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (LADDL) diagnostic activities including necropsies and biopsies. Training of residents, contributing to scholarly activity, and leadership within the department are also expected.
