On this, the 1-year anniversary of George Floyd's murder, the Davis-Thompson Foundation remains steadfast in our belief that Black Lives Matter, and our pledge to continue to highlight the strong and influential voices of black pathologists every month, as well as the voices of other minority pathologists. As we plan Black Voices in Pathology 3, we have a number of other important seminars on the experience of other minorities in our field coming up, including women, LatinX, and LGBTQ+ veterinary pathologists. This coming Friday, May 28, from 12-2PM EDT (that's Philadelphia time, folks!) please join us for "Voices in Pathology: Asian Americans" for an eye-opening look at the Asian-American experience both in our field and our society. Davis-Thompson Foundation Photo Contest for Newsletter cover!!!

Dear all Starting in July, the Foundation will be publishing every month a gross, microscopic, or ultrastructural image on the front page of its monthly newsletter. The image will be selected through a monthly contest and the winning image will also be added to Noah's Arkives! Dr Kate Watson has graciously accepted to coordinate this effort and has put together the guidelines for submission which are attached. Thank you Kate! Scholarship Applications for 2021 Rebroadcast version of CLASS/POLA Coursese

The Davis-Thompson Foundation is offering *ten* need-based scholarships to attend the rebroadcast version of the 2021 CLASS/POLA course held from July31 – August 6, 2021. Scholarship recipients may attend the rebroadcast version of the course for its 21-day run (beginning on or about 13 August) at no charge. All applications will be evaluated, but preference will be given to post-veterinary degree pathology trainees that are currently enrolled in a training program. To apply for one of these scholarships, send the following documents via e-mail to Dr Bruce Williams (bruce.h.williams.dvm(a)gmail.com) 1-Letter of intent, addressed to the Davis-Thompson Foundation with a brief justification for your request and explanation of the benefits of attending this course for you and your community 2-Letter from your training coordinator or Department head/supervisor supporting the application. 3-Application form (Appendix) *APPLICATIONS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN July 1, 2021.* *LATE OR INCOMPLETE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE EVALUATED.*
