After an introduction by course Director Matti Kiupel (Michigan State University), lecturers Drs. Scott Fitzgerald (Michigan State University) and Robert Ossiboff (University of Florida) will cover the following topics: Pathology of wild mammals, pathology of wild birds, pathology of wild reptiles and pathology of wild amphibia. Dear Members, We have added a new webinar in October! “Productive veterinary pathology examination preparation: reflections of recently qualified pathologists (BSVP/DTF European Division/BSTP)” , will be broadcasted live via Zoom on Oct 21st. (16:00-17:30 BST ). Are you preparing for board exams? Do you know someone who is? The British Society of Veterinary Pathology in conjunction with the British Society of Toxicological Pathology and the European Division of the Davis-Thompson Foundation brings you a virtual seminar that takes a step back from the syllabus and focuses on the process of preparing for any veterinary pathology examination. We all know there is a lot to learn, but how do you go about it and how do you keep other aspects of your life in balance? Drs Katie Waine, Hannah Wong and Laura Setyo will discuss time management, managing personal relationships and mental wellbeing, during the big examination build up. Discussion will be followed by a live Q&A session with the speakers and additional panelists: Prof. Simon Priestnall and Dr Gareth Maglennon The audience will gain insight into the experiences from diverse personal situations, including: the revising parent, revising around a job and examination re-sits. Her first Free Friday Lecture "My Favorite Avian Diseases" was a huge hit, and she has agreed to a followup lecture in our Australian Seminar Series (targeted for our friends Down Under) but free to everyone! This lecture takes place at 8AM Saturday in Sydney, 10AM Saturday in Perth, 8PM Friday evening in Philadelphia, and 5PM Friday Evening in San Francisco! [image: unnamed.jpg] We are only THREE days away from our annual installment of what has been referred to as the "hidden gem" of the Foundation's yearly meeting schedule - the Southcentral Division's 30th Annual Conference and Slide Seminar (and its first virtual iteration - so you, wherever in the world you are can participate too!) The keynote speaker (Dr. Dominique Wiener of Texas A&M University is lined up to present on "Classical Skin Diseases and Hair Follicle Tumors"), all of the participants' cases are in for presentation, and registrants have received the links to the online cases! Sorry, we can't cram any more cases into this day and a half, but we are still registering attendees who want to see a great array of cases in a very laidback atmosphere and get 12(!!!) hours of RACE CE for only $50 (our deals just get better and better!)
