Dear colleagues, February will start with a very busy week followed by our regular schedule of webinars, but before we get into that, here is some information you need to know. *News and housekeeping::* - On our registration webpage, you will note that we are now asking for your license state/providence and license number if applicable. This information will be submitted to RACE as requested after the meeting, in order to validate our programs and your continuing education. The next 3 weeks will have three very different and very popular all day (or two-day) seminars all with RACE-accredited CE. On 26 January, we have a fantastic wide-ranging seminar on Toxicologic Pathology which will cover everything from basic principles of toxicology, environmental toxicologic pathology, techniques beeyond morphology used in pharma, and an introduction to the food safety and drug development process. There is something here for everyone thinking about, starting in, or with years of experience in toxicologic pathology. Update on the Joint Pathology Center's VSPO and WSC virtual slides

Information from the Joint Pathology Center: The JPC IT department is working on replacing the old Flash-containing Aperio Imagescope with an upgraded product which is not based on Flash (Leica's Eslide). At this juncture, not all slides are back online, and it may be a long slog as each case at this point has to be updated manually in the database. We have identified the urinary system (currently the system being reviewing int he JPC curriculum) and this year's WSC as the priorities, and other systems and years of WSC will follow. In addition, the current configuration requires a username ("guest") to enter, but leave the password blank. Our IT staff is currently working in this issue and we will provide periodic updates. b

We had a glitch with the listserv over the last several days (everything was disappearing without a trace), and had to go to the codewriters for the solution. "Oh yeah, we know what the problem is, and it should be fixed now." (Thanks guys!) Well, all of the backed up emails appear to be coming through now (you may make whatever analogy you like - you are all vets!) While I like to think that my emails are worth reading over and over - I will certainly understand deleting all but one copy! Bruce

Dear all Happy New year and welcome to the January issue of the Davis-Thompson Foundation newsletter, put together by our great managing editors: Stephanie Shrader and Javier Asin. Thank you! As we enter 2021, I want to start by thanking you our speakers, moderators, committee members and everybody that in one way or another contributed to the teaching activities of the Foundation, for your hard work and generous donations of time and resources. We couldn't have done it without your commitment and dedication. This issue of the newsletter includes an emotional farewell to Dr. Linda Kassebaum Johnson, who passed away recently. She was one of our previous Board members, a member of our Faculty, and one of our greatest champions and most ardent supporters of the Foundation. Linda: you will be missed! In this issue you will find the Foundation's calendar for the first semester of 2021, which is already full with an an amazing variety of educational activities for a most diverse audience, in several different languages (English, Portuguese and Spanish). We are also offering some of our seminars time-zone friendly for many countries around the world. All our educational offerings come at no cost or low cost and with great CE credits, and are also announced in social media (Facebook, Instagram and YouTube) where you can find details about our seminars and also watch most of our past-seminars. Last but no least: In January and February, we are offering two free day-long seminars, on Diseases of honeybees and Diseases of coral, respectively.
