After much consideration of the expanding coronavirus outbreak in Europe, Asia and around the globe, and in careful consideration of the safety and welfare of our course participants, the Foundation has decided at this time to postpone four Davis-Thompson Foundation meetings in 2020.  The meetings include our Comparative Cytopathology Course (Zagreb 8 May),  Diseases of Aquatic Animals (Valencia 16 May), Diseases of Exotic Animals (Moscow 12-14 May), and Microscopic Descriptive Techniques (Beijing, 7-8 July).

This is not a decision that we have come to lightly, as we consider the impact of the virus on regional and international travel as well as the potential restrictions that may be placed on exposed individuals upon entry or exit to areas in which the coronavirus has been identified. We believe that none of our registrants are in a position to be quarantined or delayed either abroad or at home, not to mention the possibility of exposure during travel, or in congregation at a Foundation course. The uncertainly surrounding this entire global event is unfortunate, but we are confident that in retrospect, this will prove to be a prudent decision.
