Dear colleagues

Welcome to the July issue of the Davis-Thompson Foundation newsletter, masterfully prepared, as always, by our outstanding managing editors Jeann Leal and Javier Asin. This issue is full of information

about the many training opportunities around the world, in several languages.

One of the great pieces of news this month is that the new Davis-Thompson Foundation University Membership webpage is now open! This online system will make it easier to add the faculty and trainees

in your department. When their account becomes affiliated with your university account, they will automatically be offered member discounts on any Foundation courses for which they are offered (no

more having to choose from a list of prices) and will also be given access to freebies, such as discount coupons for merchandise, videos on demands, and other items. We have also moved the nominations

for the trainee award online for our university members. For more information contact Bruce Williams at bruce.h.williams.dvm@gmail.com.

On training opportunities, and just to mention a few ones, registration for our newest course, Foundations of Pathology is now open. This course, which comes to replace our classic Descriptive Veterinary

Pathology course, is highly recommended for first-year residents. Please notice that seats are limited and once registration is complete, we will not be able to accept new registrations. POLA and “Just in

time mock exams” are coming very soon. And do not forget the 3-day hands-on Racehorse Necropsy Workshop co-sponsored by the Horse Integrity and Safety Authority, a “must” for those doing necropsies

of racehorses.

On another topics, our great IT volunteer and member of the Foundation Board of Directors, Dr Mike Dark, has been working hard to post the current and previous newsletters on our website, where they

will be available very soon at https://davisthompsonfoundation.org/newsletter-archive/ Last, but not least, in this issue, I want to highlight the Diagnostic Exercises (DE) of the Latin Comparative

Pathology Group and the Davis-Thompson Foundation, which have been distributed around the world and posted in our website uninterruptedly since 2010. The DE are currently edited by our fantastic

Editor in Chief, Dr Claudio Barros. This is an incredibly useful training resource and I encourage all of you, whether you are a member of the LCPG/DTF or not, to contribute; please check the instructions for

submission in our website at: https://davisthompsonfoundation.org/diagnostic-exercises-instructions/

Looking forward to seeing you in one of our training activities.

Warm regards
