The guest access for the JPC VSPO/WSC server has been established.  Clicking  on a wholeslide will once again bring up the front page of the Aperio image server, and if you click on the Guest login button, you don't need a password.

That being said, the chronic issue of the server freezing up has still not yet been identified.  This summer, the JPC will be rebuilding the server (the current server will stay up during this period) to see if a total rebuild will correct the issues that have been plaguing the server since the "Big Crash of '24".

The server currently is set to autoreboot daily at 0600, 1400, and 2000 hrs. daily.  Utilization of the server during these times offers the greatest chance of the wholeslides working as prescribed. 

Another utilization note - if you click on a whole slide and get anything other than a "Bad Gateway" message, the server is actually working and try clicking on the whole slide you want to view - sometimes it takes two or three actual clicks before it pops in.

P.S - if you haven't visited Noah's Slidebox lately - we are over 3750 slides and counting and it is an excellent adjunct to VSPO/WSC.
