The lab’s location in Little Rock, in central Arkansas, puts you only 2-3 hours from hiking, camping, canoeing, rock climbing, caving, hang gliding, and numerous other outdoor activities. Cost of living in Little Rock is competitive for a city of this size (about 200,000 population). Little Rock is the state capital of Arkansas and home of campuses for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. There are award-winning craft brewers and wineries in Arkansas as well as a thriving food culture. Although not affiliated with a school of veterinary medicine, this laboratory has a strong track record of assisting qualified individuals in preparing for the ACVP Phase II board exam and in sponsoring recent graduates for the Veterinary Medical Loan Repayment Program.
