Position:
· The University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine is hiring:
o One Tenure-Track position in Anatomic Pathology (100%-time faculty appointment).
· Minimum qualifications include: DVM or equivalent veterinary degree and Board certification in Anatomic Pathology.
· This position is a research-focused, tenure-track position that requires that the candidate
have at least 60% research effort, have secured NIH (or equivalent extramural) funding, are currently building an independent research program, and have expertise in orthopedic pathology.
· In addition to developing and demonstrating a successful independent and collaborative research program, the successful candidate will provide didactic teaching in the systemic pathology portion of the veterinary curriculum.
· The VCS Department has a rich history of Veterinary and Comparative Medicine research. The college has a vigorous basic and translational research program with active clinical trials and a Clinical Investigation Center infrastructure that provides technical support and assistance with clinical research opportunities. Faculty lead and participate in interdisciplinary and collaborative research with:
o All three academic departments in the College
o Other units in the Health Sciences professional colleges
o The College of Biological Sciences and the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences on the St. Paul campus; and several other University centers and institutes
o University’s NIH Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI)
