Goals: The goals of the CMP T32 biomedical research training program are to provide students with the broad-based knowledge, quality communication skills, and advanced
research training essential for a career as veterinarian-scientists and independent investigators.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a DVM degree. As this program is a 100% federally funded grant, due to federal restrictions, only U.S. citizens and those foreign
nationals who possess a permanent residency visa (green card) may be supported by this program.
Faculty and Training:
The 34 faculty mentors in the program represent a diverse group of disciplines, including pharmacology, cell biology, infectious disease, pathology, neurobiology, physiology, genetics, and molecular biology.
Trainees who do not already hold a PhD degree have the opportunity to pursue a PhD degree in either the Comparative Molecular Biosciences graduate program or the Veterinary Medicine graduate program within the CVM.
Additional information on these programs is at:

.
Stipends: Participating trainees are eligible for up to 3 years of training program support at the current NIH stipend levels. A childcare stipend is also available
along with funds for training program-related travel, tuition, and fees.
