
*Tenure Track Clinical Pathology Position* *North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine* The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at North Carolina State University invites applications for a tenure track Clinical Pathology position at the rank of Assistant/ Associate Professor. A DVM (or equivalent) degree and ACVP or ECVP board certification or eligibility are required. A PhD in a related discipline is desired. The successful candidate will join our dynamic and collegial team of clinical pathology faculty, residents, and a well-staffed Clinical Pathology Laboratory. This position contributes to the teaching, research and service mission of the Population Health and Pathobiology Department. The candidate is expected to teach DVM students, provide clinical service for the hospitals, participate in resident and graduate student training, and provide support for the clinical pathology laboratory. Teaching commitments will include didactic and clinical year student courses, small group teaching, elective courses, and mentoring of students. The candidate is expected to develop a research program that advances the field of clinical pathology through the application of diagnostic tools, exploration of mechanisms of disease, pedagogical exploration, and / or applied clinical research; research is both independent and collaborative. Research is expected to complement existing areas of strength within the department and college while meeting the needs of residents and stakeholders. Collaboration opportunities exist in a vibrant scientific community within NC State as well as with neighboring universities (Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), and with government agencies, non-profit institutes, corporations, and biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies within the Research Triangle Park.
