Research activities are supported by a fully equipped state-of-art BSL-2 research laboratory, a vivarium, access to companion and small and large domestic animals on campus and terrestrial and aquatic species off campus as well as opportunities for potential collaborative research activities with non-human primate contract laboratories in the local community. A new Research and Pathology building was inaugurated in 2018 creating 13,000 sq ft of research space, including eight laboratories. The site features 2,000 sq ft dedicated to pathology, including autopsy and histology suites, a multiheaded microscopy room for 10 observers along with a student viewing gallery and space for small group meetings. We prioritize recruitment of talented faculty that love to teach and are now seeking a key new member of our team to join us as we develop new programs to best prepare our graduates to face the global opportunities and challenges of veterinary medicine in the 21st century. *Responsibilities* The successful candidate will join a pathology team that includes 2 clinical pathologists (1 board certified and 1 board eligible) and 4 Anatomic pathologists (3 board certified and 1 board eligible). S/he will report to the Head of Biomedical Sciences Department and will participate in the teaching of anatomic pathology and histology within the DVM program. Once hired, the successful candidate will complete other duties as assigned by the Department head. In addition, the successful candidate will provide diagnostic (autopsy and surgical) pathology services to the Ross University Veterinary Clinic and is expected to contribute to the research output of our institution and the training of at least one pathology trainee. Additional benefits include significant relocation and repatriation package, health insurance, annual continuous education budget, annual travel benefit, geographical living allowance, retirement match (up to 6% of the salary) and 7 weeks paid leave between semesters. *Qualifications* · DVM or equivalent degree, Board Certification (preferred) or board eligible (ACVP or ECVP) in veterinary anatomic pathology and experience teaching professional veterinary students and graduate students is required. Additionally, a PhD degree is highly desirable. · The selected candidate will have the capacity to develop an independent or collaborative research program that is consistent with the main focus areas of RUSVM and will have published widely in veterinary medicine and have some experience of supervising postgraduate students. · The selected candidate will be willing to publish in appropriate journals and should possess good organizational, written and oral communication skills. · The successful candidate should be able to motivate both students and peers and promote a culture of collegiality and collaboration within the workplace.
