Dear colleagues,

Javier Asin and Jeann Leal, our brilliant managing editors, have done it again and the excellent October issue of the Davis-Thompson Foundation newsletter is presented to you. Thank you Javier and Jeann!

Please peruse these pages to find great training opportunities all over the world, face to face and virtual, and in several languages. The issue brings you also the reports of our many recent activities.

The great piece of news this month is that the files of two new Fascicles in the series of Surgical Pathology of Tumors of Domestic Animals (# 5: Tumors of the Alimentary System, J. Munday editor; # 6: Tumors of the Nervous System, Dan Rissi editor) are already in the hands of the book designer, before heading for the printers. They will be available for sale in a few months. Please stay tuned!

If you are attending the annual meeting of AAVLD and/or ACVP, please consider registering for the excellent pre-meeting workshops offered by the Foundation (Cytology for anatomic pathologists at AAVLD, and Brain invaders: Tumors of the nervous system, at ACVP). And do not miss the fully revamped DTF Award Ceremony at ACVP. Also, remember that the Latin Comparative Pathology Group (LCPG, Latin American Division of the DTF) will be presenting the already traditional session at ACVP and, this year for the first time, we are also offering an LCPG session at the annual meeting of AAVLD.

And last but not least, my heartfelt thank you for all our great volunteers that are the heart of our Foundation. We could not have done it without you! Looking forward to seeing you in one of our training activities.

Kind regards,
