The role of the Supervisory Veterinary Medical Officer in a Zoological Conservation & Science Setting is vital in ensuring the health and well-being of animals, contributing to conservation efforts, and advancing scientific knowledge. This position is located at the National Zoological Park (NZP) in Washington DC and functions within the Department of Wildlife Health Sciences, which oversees veterinary operations at NZP and at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute (SCBI) in Front Royal, VA.
