
UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS AT URBANA CHAMPAIGN Open Rank Clinical Track Veterinary Anatomic Pathology The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory College of Veterinary Medicine https://vetmed.illinois.edu/2022/08/25/veterinary-anatomic-pathologist/ The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology. The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory serves the State of Illinois and the College of Veterinary Medicine Veterinary Teaching Hospital. This position is a regular, full-time, twelve-month, appointment and is available beginning on or about January 1, 2023. Requirements: Candidates must possess a DVM or equivalent degree and ACVP board certification or ACVP board eligibility. Advanced pathology training, experience in diagnostic veterinary medicine, and excellent communication/interpersonal skills are preferred. Duties: The successful candidate will function in the areas of diagnostic services, teaching and scholarly activity. Service duties will include necropsy examinations, surgical pathology, and pathology consultations with referring veterinarians. Teaching duties will include instruction of veterinary students, pathology residents and graduate students. Creative scholarly activity will depend on the candidate’s interests and may include collaborative or independent research. Assignment of duties is expected to be 75% service, 20% teaching and 5% creative scholarly activity but are flexible dependent upon the candidate’s interests.
