In October, the Foundation’s webinars are going to be a little off of the regular schedule. This is not to overlap with the conferences (AAVLD/USAHA and ACVP) that are also happening virtually this month. But fear not, there are plenty of options to keep your Zoom busy.
Below you will find the October agenda for the Free Friday Webinars. Also included, are quick information and links to all the additional symposiums, workshops and meetings that the Davis-Thompson Foundation is bringing to you in October.
Free Friday Webinars
We have put together 2 Free Friday webinars, October 2nd and 23rd. These webinars are free but registration is required. All participants receive a certificate of attendance.
On October 2nd, Dr. Tahseen Abdul Aziz from North Carolina Veterinary Diagnostic System will be discussing "Diagnostic Poultry Pathology: From the Necropsy Room to the Microscope”. Sign up early to reserve your spot, there will be no rebroadcast of this presentation.

30th South-central Division Meeting
On October 2nd and 3rd, keynote speaker Dr. Dominique Wiener of Texas A&M University will present on “Classical Skin Diseases and Hair Follicle Tumors”.
Case material for this lecture will be delivered to all attendees before the conference for review via electronic link.

2020 AAVLD/USAHA Virtual Conference
In conjunction with the 2020 AAVLD/USAHA Virtual Conference The Global Health Pathology Network (GHPN) which is part of the Davis-Thompson Foundation is offering a free full-day virtual seminar on Thursday October 15 on tips for conducting animal health work in developing countries. The program will be led by two pathologists with extensive experience in working in resource-poor areas.

Also in conjunction with the 2020 AAVLD/USAHA Virtual Conference, the Foundation will be conducting a symposium on Friday October 16 covering pathology of wild mammals, pathology of wild birds, pathology of wild reptiles and pathology of wild amphibia with Dr. Scott Fitzgerald and Dr. Robert Ossiboff. This “Diagnostic Pathology of Wildlife Diseases” symposium provides 8 hours of RACE-accredited CE.
New for this year only, no registration for the AAVLD/USAHA Conference is required to attend this symposium. You do not want to miss it! This lecture will not be available on the Foundation's YouTube channel.

2020 ACVP, ASVCP, ISACP Virtual Annual Meeting
The C.L. Davis / S.W. Thompson Foundation Pre-Meeting Workshop will be held virtually on Tuesday, October 27. Dr. Cindy Bell and Dr. Brian Murphy will present an engaging, day-long workshop in dental, oral and maxillofacial pathology while emphasizing tumors and diseases of cats, dogs and horses. Brazilian Virtual Seminars
If you have a grasp in Portuguese, The 3rd installment of the Brazilian Virtual Seminars in conjunction with the Associação Brasileira de Patologia Veterinária and the Foundation’s Latin Comparative Pathology Group will be held on Friday October 16. Dr. Paulo Maiorka from the Universidade de São Paulo will discuss “Forensic Veterinary Anatomic Pathology”.
