Harmon Professor, Head of the Department of Pathology in the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia and the Executive Director of the Tifton and Athens Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratories. As a researcher, he focused on intracellular enteric bacterial pathogens and the role of mucosal innate immunity in host defense to these agents.
