Dear Colleagues Welcome to the November issue of the Davis Thompson Foundation's Newsletter, with our heartfelt thanks to our outstanding Managing Editors, Jeann Leal and Javier Asin. As you peruse these pages, I hope you are as impressed as we are with the quantity and quality of the training activities that are the hallmark of your Foundation's mission. To highlight just a few, in October we kicked off with an outstanding full day of neuropathology during the DTF-AAVLD pre-meeting workshop in Minneapolis, given by Drs Raquel Rech, Kevin Woolard and Andrew Miller, and attended by a great crowd both in the room and virtually. Then, the first Foundation's Latin American Roadshow brought one of the greats of world pathology, Dr Alfonso Lopez, to Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay and Colombia, where for two weeks he shared his enormous knowledge and experience with more than 300 colleagues and students. This is a new initiative of the Foundation, and it will be repeated annually, bringing some of the best pathologists of the world to Latin America. November is also full of great training opportunities, including the full-day DTF-ACVP Pre-Meeting Workshop in Boston, on Tumors of bone, cartilage and dental tissue, delivered by Drs Keren Dittmer, Rob Foster and Cincy Bell. If you are in Boston, remember also that on Monday night the Foundation will host the traditional Award Ceremony, this year face to face for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic. Come and join us to celebrate our trainees and volunteers. Finally, both at the Pre-Meeting Workshop and the Award Ceremony during the ACVP meeting, we will be offering Foundation's merchandise and textbooks at a significantly discounted rate.
