Fwd: can you forward an announcement about a glomerular disease (clinical and pathology) meeting in April to the Davis Thompson Foundation?

From our good friend who is all things kidney, and one of our speakers in our upcoming Day seminar on feline pathology on March 15th, Dr. Rachel Cianciolo: ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Cianciolo, Rachel E. <cianciolo.14@osu.edu> Hi all I am happy to announce that there will be a Glomerular Disease Summit (itinerary attached) that will precede the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) national meeting in Boston April 4 and 5th. The meeting is sponsored by COHA (which is the CTSA One Health Alliance), and CTSA stands for Clinical and Translational Science Award. The summit will feature both lectures from pathologists and clinicians, physicians and veterinarians. The goal is to have 40 to 50 attendees at this pre-meeting summit (both vets and physicians). There will be opportunities for abstract submission and online publication in the journal Glomerular Disease through Karger publications. I know this is late notice, since the meeting is in April, but I believe this will be an excellent networking and educational opportunity. Additionally, there will be discussions at round tables for planning future research projects that can improve the diagnostics and treatments of our veterinary patients, as well as educate physicians about the potential for using our cases as examples of spontaneous models of human glomerular diseases. The link for registration is: https://uwmadison.eventsair.com/gnsatellite/reg22 <https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://uwmadison.eventsair.com/gnsatellite/reg2...> . As mentioned above, this Summit is coordinated with the NKF meeting (information below). You do not need to attend that meeting in order to participate in the pre-meeting summit. Unfortunately, at this time, the cost of live streaming the meeting is prohibitive so that will not be an option. It has been fairly difficult to plan this summit with the COVID uncertainties, but we have reached a timepoint where changing the format of NKF to an all-virtual meeting is highly unlikely and that allowed us to book the meeting space etc. <https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.kidney.org/spring-clinical__;!!KGKeu...> NKF Spring Clinical Meetings - National Kidney Foundation <https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.kidney.org/spring-clinical__;!!KGKeu...> SCM presents a unique opportunity for busy renal health care providers to learn new developments related to all aspects of nephrology.
