Dear colleagues It is my honor to present you the March issue of the Davis-Thompson Foundation newsletter, prepared as usual by our brilliant Managing Editors Jeann Leal and Javier Asin. I am very excited to announce that after an impasse of a few years, a new volume in our series "Surgical pathology of tumors of domestic animals" (Volume 5: Tumors of the gastrointestinal tract; John Munday Editor) is ready and available for purchase in our bookstore. Thank you John and collaborators!!! And volume 6 (Tumors of the nervous system; Dan Rissi Editor) will become available in the next few months. As always, the pages of this newsletter come full of free or low cost training opportunities, face to face and on line, all over the world, in English, Portuguese and Spanish (Mandarin seminar series coming up soon!). Amongst these, if you are looking to refine and strengthen your necropsy skills, there are two great hands-on opportunities that I want to highlight: 1- Necropsy course at the University of Pennsylvania on March 21-22, mainly designed to prepare veterinarians for the ECFVG's CPE exam but also valuable for anyone seeking to enhance their necropsy proficiency. 2- Ruminant necropsy workshop course at University of Nebraska on April 20-21, aimed at trainees and veterinarians who need to brush up their ruminant pathology and necropsy skills. Also, keep in mind that registration for the fantastic series "Veterinary Introductory Pathology" by Kelsey Fiddes series closes March 11. Last but not least, we share the link to "Archivo Veterinario del Uruguay", formerly "Archivo Veterinario del Este", a great newsletter prepared by our colleague Fernando Dutra. Although this document is in Spanish, it has many excellent images and, as I said before, I am sure that everybody will be able to appreciate that "pathology language" regardless of the language of the text. Looking forward to seeing you in one or more of our training activities. Kind regards Francisco Uzal, DVM, MSc, PhD, Dipl.
