Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities - Participate in classroom, clinical and laboratory instruction of veterinary students, graduate students, interns and veterinarians. - Participate in the provision of clinical pathology laboratory services to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital and external clients. - Supervise and train technicians and students as required. - Demonstrate creative scholarship through independent and/or collaborative research and publish the results of research findings in reputable scientific and/or professional journals. - Submit research and/or contract proposals to intramural and extramural funding sources. - Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the Department Head and Dean of the college. Qualifications - He/she should have the DVM or equivalent degree. - Completed a residency in Clinical Pathology. Board certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists is highly desired. Board-eligible applicants will be considered. - The PhD degree highly desirable. - Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with others in a collegial team environment.
