Davis-Thompson Foundation Newsletter December 2024

Dear colleagues I am proud to share with you the December issue of the Davis-Thompson Foundation (DTF) Newsletter, once again, masterfully prepared by our Managing Editors, Javier Asin and Jeann Leal. Thank you Javier and Jeann!!!!. This is a particularly large issue, with a huge amount of information on recent and future activities of the Foundation. The first order is to congratulate all the trainees and pathologists who received awards during the DTF Award Ceremony at the recent ACVP annual meeting in Seattle. Well done everyone! And special thanks to our volunteers who organized such a wonderful reception! Continuing with the ACVP meeting, the Foundation had, as usual, a very strong presence during the conference, and provided a robust list of training and network opportunities for everyone. This included, but was not limited to, the Pre-Meeting workshop on Gastrointestinal tumors, the two half days of the face-to-face session of the outstanding Foundations of Pathology course, the Scientific session of the Latin Comparative Pathology Group, the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Foundation and much more. And once again, all these activities were organized and carried out by our outstanding volunteers. Please remember them to say thanks every time you meet them. Looking forward to seeing you in one of our training activities. Warm regards. Francisco Uzal, DVM, MSc, PhD, Dipl.
