The position is a full-time, 12-month appointment, consisting of 75% diagnostic duty split between biopsy and necropsy services, complemented by 25% teaching, service, and advising in the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Biomedical Sciences within the College of Life Sciences and Agriculture. The incoming pathologist will join 3 ACVP board-certified anatomic pathologists and have opportunity to grow specialty diagnostic and / or collaborative research niche to suit her / his interests. With a busy serology service, a state-of-the-art microbiology section boasting MALDI-TOF biotyper speciation, and open collaboration with the NH Public Health Laboratory and NH Department of Agriculture Markets and Foods, casework at the NHVDL serves primary care veterinarians, producers, food chain security, and public health. In addition, teaching and mentorship within the College of Life Sciences and Agriculture exposes the NHVDL pathologists to their future peers and clients, with impacts in the classroom and on research projects often cited as amongst the most rewarding undergraduate experiences.
