Dear Colleagues Happy New Year! Welcome to 2023 and to the first issue of the Davis-Thompson Foundation's Newsletter for the new year. This edition was masterfully prepared, as usual, by our outstanding Managing Editors, Jeann Leal and Javier Asin. 2022 was a year of great and abundant training opportunities offered by the Foundation virtually and in person all over the world. Amongst the former, we had 172 meetings in English, Spanish or Portuguese, attended by a total of 22,435 participants from 103 different countries from (alphabetically) Albania to Vietnam. The number of in-person seminars and courses has been increasing progressively this past year, and we hope it will keep growing in 2023. A significant number of virtual training opportunities will still be available for free or at a very reduced cost for participants all over the world. Our outstanding team of volunteers is already working on the preparation of a vast and exciting program of training activities for 2023.
