DTF newsletter September 2022

Dear colleagues As the summer in the northern hemisphere comes to an end and the spring is about to start in the south, we are presenting you with yet another fantastic issue of the Davis-Thompson Foundation Newsletter. As always, the managing editors Jeann Leal and Javier Asin deserve our heart-felt thanks for their wonderful job in compiling this newsletter. In this issue you will find, as usual, lots of important information about the activities of your Foundation and more. Although most of the articles are in English, some notes are in Spanish or Portuguese; I hope, however that, as I have said before, if you speak "pathology" you will not have much trouble understanding the meaning of most of them. As an example, have a look at the outstanding "Archivo Veterinario del Este", a compilation of interesting cases prepared by Dr. Fernando Dutra in Uruguay; the images are superb! Last but not least, we are very sad to share with you news of the passing of Dr Severo Barros, a legend of Latin American pathology, who left an indelible mark on countless pathologists throughout the world. Please take a moment to peruse these pages and consider registering for one or more of the awesome training opportunities that the Foundation has to offer.
